Project launch: Experience of Scotland’s Chinese communities during COVID-19

This week the Scottish Alliance of Regional Equality Councils (SAREC) is launching a new project looking to better understand the experiences of Chinese, East and South-East Asian communities during COVID-19 and lockdown.  The project, funded by the National Lottery Awards for All, will include a focus on communities’ recent experiences of hate crime & prejudice.  Community engagement will be delivered by SAREC’s four constituent Regional Equality Councils across Scotland, and will include a survey and focus groups.  The results will be used to inform policy makers what action is required to better support communities.
